With no other options available to him, Rio decided to join Berlin’s plan to rob the Royal Mint of Spain.

The rest of season one follows their preparations for and execution of the robbery. In season two, we see Rio struggling with being separated from Tokyo while she’s in prison. He also has to deal with fears that she will leave him once she’s released.
