I love Family Guy. I really do. It’s one of my all-time favorite shows.
But there’s one thing about it that bugs me: the Denny Hamlin tweet episode. You know, the one where Peter tweets something offensive and then tries to cover it up by saying he was hacked? Yeah, that one.
Just when you thought Denny Hamlin couldn’t get any cooler, he goes and tweets a clip from Family Guy. The NASCAR star recently took to Twitter to share a hilarious clip from the popular animated series, which features the character Peter Griffin trying (and failing) to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
Hamlin tweeted the clip with the caption, “This is me every morning before work… #nailedit.”
We have to say, we agree with him – this is pretty much how we imagine Hamlin singing every morning! Although he may not be able to carry a tune in real life, Hamlin can definitely drive a car – and that’s what really matters. After all, he is a three-time Daytona 500 winner and one ofNASCAR’s most popular drivers.
So even if he can’t sing like Peter Griffin, we still think he’s pretty awesome.

What was Denny Hamlins Insensitive Tweet?
In February, Denny Hamlin was criticized for an insensitive tweet he made about Danica Patrick. He tweeted that Patrick was “just out there running around,” and she would “never win.” After receiving backlash, Hamlin deleted the tweet and issued an apology, saying he was referring to her lack of success on the racetrack, not as a driver.

This isn’t the first time that Hamlin has referenced Family Guy on Twitter. In fact, he’s been tweeting clips from the show since 2016. It’s clear that Hamlin is a big fan of Family Guy, and it seems like he enjoys sharing his favorite moments from the show with his followers.
